Words of Inspiration
"I got this feeling I'm gonna die before I get old. I don't know why. I just have this feeling." - Sid Vicious

Sounds of Inspiration
Hozier - Arsonist's Lullabye
When I was a child I heard voices,
Some would sing and some would scream,
You soon find you have few choices,
I learned the voices died with me
When I was a child I'd sit for hours,
Staring into open flame
Something in it had a power,
Could barely tear my eyes away.
All you have is your fire,
And the place you need to reach,
Don't you ever tame your demon,
But always keep him on a leash.
When I was sixteen my senses fooled me
I thought gasoline was on my clothes
I knew that something would always rule me
I knew the scent was mine alone
All you have is your fire,
And the place you need to reach,
Don't you ever tame your demon,
But always keep him on a leash.
When I was a man I thought it ended
When I knew love's perfect ache,
But my peace has always depended,
On all the ashes in my wake.

Fuel
"If you could be either God’s worst enemy or nothing, which would you choose?” - Chuck Palahniuk; Fight Club
Once, in Berlin, there was a boy whose father liked to beat the crap out of him on a regular basis. Until, at the age of 15, his father beat him one too man times and he snapped, killing the man.
Three years later, Rike was released from the system and he formed a band called Eulogy for Apathy, with the intent to inspire people into rising up against The Man, ending apathy. The band took off, becoming extremely popular in first Germany and then in Europe.
Seven years later, Eulogy for Apathy was touring the world, and was a hit in the United States, where they eventually settled down due to their singer becoming a vampire's Ghoul. That is, until his Regnant departed.
Rike's temper and inclination towards violence became a well known thing, as well as his inclination to sleep with anything that moves. People told him that it would get him killed one of these days.
Turns out people were correct.

Fire
- Fame
The lead singer for a post-modern industrial-punk band that's heavy into anarchy and vocally anti-government. Originally from Germany, Eulogy for Apathy has grown in popularity around the world (Fame 3). It's rumored that even his band doesn't like him, but the man has talent. A new album is being released soon. (For those interested, this band was inspiration.)
- Notoriety
Sometimes being famous has its drawbacks. All of his altercations with the law and all his jail time is public record. Assault, arson, destruction of public property, destruction of private property, patricide. There's even a rumor that a SWAT team swarmed his place and he was hauled off to prison for drug and weapons charges that were mysteriously dropped. Not to mention the cannibal ex-wife. Long story.
- Anarchist
He believes that all authoritarian systems need to be destroyed. From the ashes, something greater, something truly for the people, will be born. Fires, explosions, riots - they're all part of the process. He also runs a shop called Kitchen, Home, and Garden, which, while 100% legit, carries everything an aspiring anarchist might need.
- Firestarter
Where he goes, things tend to end up burning. He really, really likes fire.
- Gangster
An up and coming member of the Southside Kings. What started as a 'why not?' has turned into something more. The Kings are his family, and he'll defend them with all he's got. God help those that cross them.
- Former Ghoul
Vampires are assholes. Yet he was bound to one for a time. He has mixed feelings on the matter, but he does have knowledge of their ways, most of which he disagrees with.
- Dead
He got himself murdered. Oops. And now he's stuck with the ghost of a serial killer who claims to be a revolutionary and who lies, lies, and lies. But, hey, they're gonna save the world whether Geisty-poo likes it or not.
- Delver
He's a Delver. He has impressive knowledge of the Underworld, and is willing to help people navigate it, or to go in himself and locate what needs to be located. He knows a lot about the world of the dead.
- Narcissistic
Dying didn't help his ego. If anything, it made it worse.
- Music
He owns Just For The Record, despite it being previously run by his ex-girlfriend. JFTR is a local record shop with a punk twist. Not only can you get vinyls, but there's a bar, a recording studio, and people with the connections to get you noticed. Local bands are supported, and perform regularly. Currently looking for a manager.

The Spoonman
The Spoonman was a real man who became something of an urban legend. In Berlin, in the late 1700s and early 1800s, there was a serial killer. As he approached his victims, he would tap two spoons together, making a clinking sound. Sometimes, he just terrorized people with the sound. Sometimes he simply mutilated his victims, leaving them to remember that sound for the rest of their lives. Most of the time, he murdered them in an exceptionally violent manner. No one ever saw his face. And then he would then use the spoons to remove their eyes. Because those that can't see, can't tell.
He was eventually apprehended and executed in 1812. His passion for murder, however, was strong. He came back. First, as a ghost, but that need was too strong. He became a Geist. Over time, many of his anchors were lost and he grew more and more erratic. He took over other serial killers. He caused a lot of deaths. And eventually, he came to Rictus' father. He turned that man into a murderer (Rictus never knew the true story about his mother's death, or that his father was linked to others). That violence caused him to beat Rictus mercilessly. Constantly. Until one day Rictus snapped.
Rictus had good timing, although he didn't know it. The Geist was weak. It'd pushed too much, drained itself. And Rictus was able to kill his father. Unfortunately, that caused his father to become a Wretched. Fortunately, a couple Sin-Eaters in the area got onto him and put him out of his misery, releasing the Geist. This led to some issues with the investigation, which led to Rictus getting it pretty easy in the end, judicially.
The Spoonman did not forget, however. And as Rictus built his own career, the Geist regain its strength. The Spoonman is determined, and passionate, and revenge is a passion. Now, fifteen years later, he's strong enough to take another, and he has Rictus in his scope. So he's in the background, manipulating things to get Rictus killed. Encouraging it. And then he will have his revenge. Of course, he's going to lie. And believably, since he knows Rictus so well.
As far as Rictus knows, the Geist is a revolutionary. They saw Rictus' spirit and thought his death came too soon. They want to work with Rictus to inspire others, to fight, to bring about revolution. Which isn't true at all. The Spoonman only wants violence and bloodshed. But he sees how much Rictus /believes/, and that idealism can be manipulated. Combine that with Rictus' anger management issues and volatile nature, and the Spoonman might just be back in business. Or perhaps he's underestimated Rictus? Time will tell.
