xxxxxA Mortal PhD who believes in traveling the world to find examples of practical cultures that can be transplanted from one to another to improve life. He has several doctorates in psychology, sociology and anthropology. He is also very widely traveled.

xxxxxPlate was always a very smart child, in many gifted and talented programs but there was nothing specifically amazing about the whole thing. As it was, until he was 15 years old it didn't look like he was going to do anything remarkable with it except have a privileged background with a nice college and a chance for a plush job after that, but then there was a bank robbery and he was held hostage for over 48 hours. What he saw as a result changed his life, since he saw some hate the robbers and die, some try to be heroes and get their lives spared.

xxxxxHe saw some sympathize with the robbers, some seduce them and some try to join them. He saw how chaotic and insane and fascinating people were. And that made him decide that he had to learn what made people and cultures tick, but also how to enact changes in that. He was determined to create a new way of shaping culture that would help fix the most toxic elements of it. He dedicated his life to this, first traveling the world as a 'gap year' that lasted three years traveling to every area of the world and learning multiple languages and ways of thinking before he returned to the United States to get multiple doctorates in psychology, sociology, anthropology and theology. He believes in humanity even though he knows inherently how untrustworthy they are at the same time. He has had several books that have been well regarded.

  • Sociology 101
  • Sociology 201
  • Applied Anthropology: Shaping culture
  • Advanced Memetics
  • Magical Thinking: Altered States of Consciousness and the impact on the Mystical Mind
  • Advanced Travel: Being a good cultural guest

  • University Professor
He teaches several courses graduate and undergraduate, having returned for the fall term after a two year sabbatical.
  • Gregariously Curious
He goes weird places to study weird things, so anyone and everything is interesting to him and after a long time traveling he is studying in the city to learn about his local digs.
  • Famous
He is famous (Fame 2) for his best-selling books on shaping culture or (less so);(Fame 1) for his internet YouTube channel on travel and interesting random bits about culture.
  • Supernatural Pending
I now want to convert him to a supernatural char but don't know which, plots and arcs that draw him in or towards this are welcome.
About them.
About them.
