Jed Wright
![]() ![]() The Wright family always keeps close to the sea. Back to the early days of European settlement, when the Forsaken came with the humans to a new world full of possibility and unknown danger, the Wright family kept close to the sea. Fishing became a family tradition almost as inherited and expected as becoming one of the Storm Lords and a member of the Lodge of the Maelstrom. For generations past and generations to come, the Wrights were and will be Iminir. Show no weakness, project strength, refuse to accept failure, test yourself, check for weakness, make corrections. Their eyes ever turned to the waves and to what lies beneath that shouldn't be seen, the Wrights are a well-known family out of Boston. Jed Wright was born in '74. The year his father and uncles defeated a particularly gruesome horror from the deeps. Watch the seas, the Lodge says, and the Wrights obey. Most of them. Born to be a fisherman and seafaring warrior, Jed followed this path to a certain extent. He changed in his early twenties and was typical for a young Uratha from a prominent family. He had something to prove but something never felt right about the Lodge his family had served. Jed had dreams. Nightmares of doom and death, of apocalypse and pain, of sorrow and mourning. They haunted him just before his first change, during it, and since. Though he lived by the sea and will never stray far from it, he had a different calling. A totem called Dreaming Bear gave him the worse of his nightmares less than a decade ago. The Apocalypse manifest. The real deal. A great Maelstrom that would cover the globe. The shattering of Luna and the devastating impact of her broken remains falling like atomic bombs to the Earth. Those Uratha that survived the destruction lost to their rage in perpetual Kuruth, killing and bleeding everything they could get their claws on. This was coming. He met the totem, heard its pitch, saw how his small personal failures and flaws culminated with everyone's to lead to the destruction of the world, joined the lodge. The end was coming, but it could be averted. By erasing flaw and imperfection, by strengthening the bodies and souls of the Uratha, but showing them that they could fight harder, they would prepared to stand against the end and turn it away. The survival of the very world itself rests in the hands of Jed and his Lodge and it's a duty he takes very seriously.
