The poison rules presented in the book tend to make low-toxicity poisons pointlessly easy to resist, and high toxicity poisons an insta-kill. In order to smooth out the effectiveness curve and give people a chance to actually survive a poisoning attempt - we are adopting the following rules changes to poisons.

  • Victim rolls Stamina + Resolve (not penalized by Toxicity).
  • The successes achieved on this roll subtract from the Toxicity of the poison, with the rest being applied as damage (or as the dice modifier from poisons or drugs that don't do damage or don't just do damage).
