"Greater love has no one than this; to lay down one's life for one's friends."
Chris is a good man, caught in conflict.
A Brooklyn native who joined the Army to help pay for college, Christian has seen horror. He has participated in violence, utter and total. He has done, and experienced things that give him nightmares.
Chris is a cop now. He has been for awhile now. He has experienced loss. He has experienced horror. He clings to his faith, and it supports him, even as he violates it in the course of serving it. He is Malleus...and he is not sure how he feels about it. The Crusade...scares him sometimes. Many other Hunters he meets are callous, and just as monstrous as the things they hunt. He dedicates himself as a cop, still, too...and finds himself questioning even that.
Chris is a good man, in a bad world. He does not know how much longer her can keep at this...but the Lord is his shepherd. He hopes.
This man is 6'2", and built pretty solid. He has strong, wide shoulders, and a firmly chiseled and toned body. He is caucasion, with tanned skin and blonde hair. His hair is short, but is not quite military grade. It is a bit longer on top, and combed to the side neatly while on duty, and usually left to be casual and loose when not. He has bright blue eyes. He has fairly classic, handsome features. He looks like he is somewhere in his early thirties or so.
When off-duty the man dresses normally in jeans, comfortable shoes and various band or movie shirts. When on-duty he can be found in a carefully maintained Fallcoast Police Department uniform, along with his utility belt, gun and all.
- New York
His Brooklyn accent is notable, and becomes very obvious when he gets emotional.
He came from nothing, and even though he has more income now, he donates a lot of it. He scrapes by, but he is not a wealthy man.
He was a member of the NYPD from 2010 until July of 2016. He is now a motor patrol officer here in Fallcoast, and he has no dreams of becoming a Detective.
He served as infantry in the United States Army for eight years, and was mostly stationed in Ft. Benning. He joined originally so he could pay for college through the GI Bill. He does two tours of the sandbox, and comes back...a bit shaken. He did not come back entirely the same man. Yes, he struggles with certain forms of PTSD...but he gets by. He is not the kind of man who brags about his time served...or even talks about it much.
His wife and daughter died in 2011. He has been alone since.
He joined the Malleus Maleficarum not long after the death of his family. He hunts now for the Church, and each hunt turns his stomach a little more. He was not built for this, but he feels that somebody needs to do it.
Christian has been single for almost 6 years. That gets to you after awhile. Mingled with his duty as a police officer AND a hunter, he has begun to drink. He doesn't show up on the job drunk or anything, but sometimes drinking is the only way he can sleep.
He is Catholic. He goes to church every Sunday...and often more then that. When he can't sleep he goes to midnight mass, and sometimes ends up there a bit intoxicated. He is a liberal Catholic, though, for the most part. He is pro gay marriage, pro...a lot of stuff, actually. But he is still Catholic, and his faith is his rock now adays...even as he finds himself doubting in the face of horror.
"'He reveals the deep things of darkness, and brings utter darkness into the light."
