“Consider the subtleness of the sea; how its most dreaded creatures glide under water, unapparent for the most part, and treacherously hidden beneath the loveliest tints of azure... Consider all this; and then turn to this green, gentle , and most docile earth; consider them both, the sea and the land; and do you not find a strange analogy to something in yourself? ”

– Herman Melville

The Man The Sea Gave Up

xxxxxAlbrecht Wagner was a fairly unassuming member of his family; sure, his family was well known, but he was just another fisherman manning one of the Wagner boats and hauling in the catch. Respected but not really noteworthy. At least until he was lost overboard...
xxxxxFive years after he was assumed dead, he washed up on shore one day raving madness, in utter delirium. It took some time to determine his identity, but with his family's help he was proven to be himself. The paperwork to coming back from the grave was interminable, and of course the local media was all over it for a couple months. (Fame •)
xxxxxAfter that 'near death experience' nobody was really surprised when he chose not to go back to the sea, but instead started up a small repair, home maintenance, and contracting business called Wagner Repairs and Construction. Sure, he's the only full-time employee, but he does good work and has a good reputation.

Al's Your Go-To Guy!

  • Is something broken? Did the storm damage your roof? Do you need a new deck? Did a zombie attack damage your back yard? Call Al! He's fast and discreet, and won't mention the strange occult library in the den he's installing shelves for to anybody.
  • Albrecht's a Wagner, as well, so anyone who might have business with the family might have business with him.

Life can be Glamourous...

  • A member of the Autumn Court, Albrecht offers his repair services for free - at least as far as money goes.

Abney Park - The Wrath of Fate

The rain was blowing
Lightning cracked
All the windows smashed
With sails scorched or barely there
All our hopes were dashed
With tattered lines and planking charred
The ship stayed on its course
Our fires lit the clouds around
And we felt deep remorse
But the crew stayed at its post
And the Captain at his wheel
We all endured the wrath of fate
But thought our fate was sealed.
