“Too much mercy... often resulted in further crimes which were fatal to innocent victims who need not have been victims if justice had been put first and mercy second.”
~ Agatha Christie
“Ah, but a man's reach should exceed his grasp, Or what's a heaven for?”
~ Robert Browning
| Born in Normandy, a Lord in England, a Crusader in Antioch and Jerusalem, a wanderer forever. Arthur Etienne de Quièvremont is a man of many, many years and just as many stories. A member of one of the prototypical Old World families that went into the formation of the modern-day Cavanaugh clan, Arthur Etienne is a man of culture and means. While not lacking in kindness, he is far more concern with the justness of a situation rather than equity. To those that deserve, from those that don't, thus is rather stubborn in his views.
Not a local by any means, the older members of the Cavanaugh family - particularly those with their own supernatural bent - probably know at least parts of Arthur Etienne's true story. To those outside? He's just another damned Cavanaugh with more money and looks than sense.
Noble. Warrior. Hero. Crusader. Immortal.
Cavanaugh - He is one of them, though is far from a local. He is apparently related to the Old World branch of the family, though some might say he was around during the flight from the south. But who can really say? He does seem awfully well informed regarding family lore.
Immortal - A purified of the old world. Always eager to help out his fellow undying, even those that need blood more than spirits.
High Society - Due, in part, to his familial connections to the Cavanaugh family Arthur Etienne is slowly growing more entrenched in the high society lifestyle. Attending all the best parties with all the most interesting people, Arthur Etienne is a keen socialiser and enthuses for the finer things in life.
