TACTICS


Not all Tactics in the various Hunter books are available to be used due to concerns with their use in a MUSH environment. Those that are available will be evaluated over time to determine if they are causing any problems - hopefully they won't be.

Tactics are purchased with Practical XP only and therefore can only be bought by Hunters. As noted on the HR page, Mortal non-Hunters (capital H) who organise cells can learn one Tactic. That Tactic is selected when they form their quasi-cell and cannot be changed.

Due to the numerous details that accompany each Tactic, all that will be listed below is the minimum number of Hunters required for the Tactic to work, the 'All' prerequisites and the cost in Practical XP. Further information regarding Partial prerequisites and dice pools can be found in the appropriate book.

Remember that only having the 'All' prerequisites amongst Hunters attempting the Tactic may not be sufficient for it to work. At least some of the Hunters involved will also have to have any required 'Partial' prerequisites.

When selecting Tactics as part of Chargen, please ensure you have the necessary prerequisites for at least the All category. Purchase of 'Chargen' Tactics can be delayed. In other words, Hunter PCs are allowed their first three Tactics free during their existence.

Custom Tactics are able to be developed for the appropriate cost. They will also be fully documented on this page.

If a participating PC dies as a result of a failed Tactic, the surviving Hunters will receive 1 Practical XP each.

All Tactics are available to all compacts/conspiracies though certain groups get PXP discounts as noted.
