“But I'll tell you what hermits realize. If you go off into a far, far forest and get very quiet, you'll come to understand that you're connected with everything.”

– Alan Watts

xxxxxA lifelong resident of the Fallcoast Area, the enormous man known as Hermit was born with the name Michael Dunne, though not many who knew that name would recognize him now. He is an ascetic recluse who lives in the middle of nowhere in what, from the outside, resembles a hobbit hole more than a home. In recent years, he has begun selling beautiful sculptures of stone, clay, and sometimes recycled scrap metal.

There I was, back in the wild again
And I felt right at home where I belong
I had that feelin' comin' over me again
Just like it happened so many times before
