“Don't tell me the moon is shining; show me the glint of light on broken glass.”

– Anton Chekhov

Overview

xxxxxCameron Morgan has made something of a name for himself as an urban fantasy author. Maybe you've read one of his short stories in an anthology magazine, or come across the blog where he posts some rough drafts.

RP Hooks
  • New in town: Recently moved here from California.
  • Curiosity killed the cat: Always on the lookout for new ideas to incorporate into his fiction.

Mages

  • Spidey sense: Might get a funny feeling around you guys.
Background

xxxxxCameron grew up on an apple farm in rural northern California, but his older brother Bruce was more interested in inheriting it someday, while Cameron turned to more intellectual pursuits. He spent much of his free time exploring other parts of the countryside, collecting odd stories and odd ideas, and ended up picking up a literature degree at Berkeley.

xxxxxHe wants to eventually become a household name a la Stephen King. He's sold some urban fantasy short stories to some magazines, aiming to move up to novels, and has moved to Fallcoast to broaden his pool of ideas.

xxxxxCameron's goal with his writing is to entertain others, and in person he's much the same way. Show him someone brooding and he'll try to help them out of it. Show him a weird thing and he'll be curious to learn more about it. Danger? Pfft. Weird things aren't so dangerous. Bothering the wrong guy in south Boston, that would be dangerous.
