Scottish Drums, Clanadonia

Up w' ye feet, ye scunner. Dance!

Eulogy, Tool

Standing above the crowd, he had a voice so strong and loud and I swallowed his facade 'cause I'm so eager to identify with.
Someone above the ground, someone who seemed to feel the same, someone prepared to lead the way, someone who would die for me.

The Cave, Mumford and Sons

Cause I need freedom now, and I need to know how, to live my life as it's meant to be.
And I will hold on hope, and I won't let you choke, on the noose around your neck.
And I'll find strength in pain, and I will change my ways, I'll know my name as it's called again.

"Hark, now hear the sailors cry, smell the sea, and feel the sky, let your soul and spirit fly."
Van Morrison

The Man

Captain Calder walks with a swagger, that rolling gait that is associated with the sway of the ship deck. He is large of build, and has a kind of energy about him that drives him ever forward.

He speaks with a round, projected Scottish accent and when excited has the tendency to boom out his words. Often barefoot, Calder wears a loose linen shirt and carefully rolled up trousers that are secured with a thick leather belt about his waist.

He wears a grey leather pouch at his side, and is occasionally seen wearing a coat the colour of a storm at sea. He has bright red hair, often messy as if wind blown, a short red beard, and startling grey eyes with a hint of green.

The Lost

Captain Calder walks with a swagger, that rolling gait that is associated with the sway of the ship deck. He is large of build, and has a kind of energy about him that drives him ever forward.

He speaks with a round, projected Scottish accent and when excited has the tendency to boom out his words - in his voice is the crash of the wave, the deep crack of a full sail in the wind and the rush of a storm at sea. Often barefoot, Calder wears a loose linen shirt and carefully rolled up trousers that are secured with a thick leather belt about his waist.

He wears a grey leather pouch at his side, and is occasionally seen wearing a coat the colour of a storm at sea. His skin has faint, pale blue-grey swirling patterns on it that move as if gusted by a wind. He has wind-tousled bright red hair, a short red beard, and his eyes are a startling grey with a hint of green, in them are the roil of clouds above a stormy sea.

Quotes
From Calder
From Others

The Aurora is a full rigged ship - that is, she is a sailing vessel with three or more masts, all of them square rigged. She is immaculate - Calder plainly loves this ship - and it proudly flies the red and gold of the Dawn Court on her masts.

The Aurora is capable of movement at Calder's whim, not requiring him to be present at the wheel - though he prefers to be at the wheel, his hands steering the smoothly polished wood in response to currents that, presumably, he is able to sense.

The Aurora has room and accommodation for a few people at the moment, the majority of her hold and rooms being full of what could only be charitably referred to as bric-a-brac. Calder states he's hoping to offload the junk at a Goblin market; if he manages to do so it will be something of a minor miracle.

The Aurora has, as its figurehead, a mermaid with flowing hair, fulsome breasts and a crown of the dawning sun. It's rumoured that the figurehead and Calder have had, from time to time, rather expressively vocal arguments.
